460 Mach System

Post by mamato »

I have a 460 mach system with an aftermarket head unit with only 1 set of outputs. the stock system needs an output to run the oem amp so i installed a y dapter to tun an aftermarket amp to power 2 subs. My problem is the subs aren't getting the output I know the can produce, any help?

Hi, Welcome to the forums
What makes you think the subs are not performing correctly?
What type of subs and amp are you running? How are the subs wired to the amp?

I have an older Fosgate Punch 250 with Kicker Comp 10"s they are bridged running 1+ to a speaker and 1-to the other one.

So you only have one wire running to each speaker? Do you have any wires connecting the speakers to each other?

The Kickers comps, were those dual voice coil or single?
I'm trying to visualize how it's hooked up.

I'm not really familiar with the Mach systems, but I wonder if they are like Bose and have some sort of crossover built into the unit that is filtering out your lows. So your amp and subs have nothing to really play.

Does anyone else know?
