wiring a aftermarket for a 98 lexus es 300

that website didnt help me at all. if someone could just tell me what coler the ignition ground power and remote wire are i could figure out the rest

I understand that but you should be learning doing it the right way. The right way is not cutting factory wiring and getting the correct harness's. Your car also has a factory amp have you checked to find out if adding an aftermarket head unit is even possible? You may have to remove the factory amp and rewire all the speakers assuming the load on the speakers will work. You may have to take all the factory audio out just to put an aftermarket HU in.

See if you can find some more info on your car maybe a lexus forum can help you out? Once you get the information on your specific car we can probably better help you.

That website gives you all the part numbers you need to BUY the correct harness for your car.

yes and it will probably be a hell of a lot easier than trying to put a different h/u in

The right way and the way Pro's and paid installers do this is with harness's.

I dont know a single person that recommends cutting the factory wiring off. It is idiotic when a $10 harness cures these issues.

Hook amp to factory head unit: sure. You need a line out converter.

Just curious are you blind?

The wires you want have been posted twice now? what else am i supposed to do? you want me to call and tell you? I charge 50 an hour for trouble shooting and take credit card.

I'm not understanding what you're trying to do.

Why are you so insistent on cutting the factory wires? That is not the right way to this, the adapter kits are really the only right way. I don't think any shop these days would cut a factory harness. They would be insane to put themselves into at risk of being sued if they screw up or short something out.

Also as someone else pointed out, you might have an aftermarket amp in that car. You should find that out first before going any further.

my guess is he has been to other forums, and each forum has told him the same thing. The OP doesn't really want to learn the right way, he wants the cheap way of doing things. Cheap way almost always ends in failure and possible fire.
