After market deck compatibility with factory satellite radio for Ford

Hey gents. Havent been around in some time. Helping a friend of mine put a new head unit in his Sportrac 2007 Ford but he wants to keep the factory satellite radio working. I was wondering if anyone has some advice on the process. He already bought the standard harness and mounting kit to fill in the double DIN slot to fit a single DIN radio.
To complicate things, he has a factory sub in the back. I've had trouble finding a harness to fit the satellite radio plug and the factory sub plug. The sub appears to have the amp with it, so I'm pretty sure I just need a harness to fit the factory plug.
In total, there are three connections on the stock head unit: 1 standard plug, 1 for the satellite radio, and 1 for the stock sub.
Anyone pull this job before? Can an aftermarket head unit work the stock satellite radio? I'm fearful that he'll have to buy a whole module to connect with the stock satellite radio.

There might be somewhere out there in the wild world of the web but it would have been a hell of a lot easier to just buy an aftermarket radio WITH satellite radio. Just checked with Axxess and they dont make an interface for your app. Sry.

as far as connecting the stock sub to the new radio and powering it, that isn't gonna happen.

Agreed on both points... however isnt the stock sub in that vehicle powered by an auxillary amp under the seat... if so you could get a wiring diagram and figure out which wires were contribuiting the source to that amp... If it is indeed being powered by the factory HU, then your SOL.

That is what I figured. I haven't worked with satellite radio at all. The amp is in the back seat with the sub, I'm pretty sure I can jimmy with the wires and get it working. I'll have to think about it though, I don't feel like getting over-committed with my friends project. I've got a lot on my plate these days. Thanks for the info
