Am i dealing with this landlord right

so heres the story moved into this place because my wife and i couldnt agree on a spot to build. to get out of the year long lease i paid for 4 months then we agreed it would be month to month afterwards. first month after the 4 i prepaid i paid rent on the 1st he didnt have his receipt book so i had him write one out by hand. on the 23 of june i got another bonus check so i paid ahead for this month july. on the 17th of july he asked if i was gonna pay any rent and was a dick about it then said its hard in this economy and complained about a bank note he had on the place. so i told him i paid on the first and the 23rd of june for june and july i couldnt find the receipts at the time but showed the marks on my calender the days i paid he claimed he never came over and i tried to remind him of it then he left saying hed look through his books

today he came over and left a new receipt saying i did infact pay on the 23rd but never on the first of june even though i have receipts for both. so what im doing is getting my bank statements the receipts and phone records of when i called him to tell him i had rent together then notifying him of my intent to move out by the 8th. im not gonna do any sort of business with someone like this. So what im wondering is if thats good enough to prove i paid or do you think he'll try to take me to court. ive never had a really bad landlord ive only rented 2 other times then owned everything ive been in.

SO im covered right?

I would get all your records together including the hand written ones and i would move asap. If he wants to take you to court as long as you have your shit together there isn't much he can do and if he does take you to court it will be on his dime anyways.

My guess is he wont take you to court and everything will be fine. He doesn't sound very organized and the courts will realize that. If he does take you to court counter sue him for being a faggot. Only cause i think that would be utterly hilarious.

ive got them all together im going to the bank then to get a uhaul. i shouldve sensed his faggotry sooner i talked to the previous tenant in june and i guess the guy tried something like this with her and he was also still bugging her for rent.

i feel kinda bad for the guy we talked today he said he had just lost his daughter and sister and he hasnt been all there lately. he apologized several times and i reminded him about how its illegal for him to show up without 24 hour notice and that this better be the last time he pulls something like this. i guess im gonna stay another month or so til i go back to work in utah. renting sucks though id rather live in my own shack than rent again
