Anyone have any opinions on these subs?

JVC Arsenal CS-AW7240

Basically same price as the Alpine SWR-1242D.

Huh... there's a fuse on that Arsenal. First time I've seen something like that. I must not have been looking hard enough.

looks like a fuse to me too, and i too have not seen that before, nor do i have any experience with those subs, sorry. But, i do have some experience with type r's and i can tell you that they are a good sub for the price.

Yes those are fuses. They are 10A fuses. I've looked at a lot of different subs but never seen it on any of the others either. The owners manual don't even say what they are for. I would imagine they are for in case something happens internally in the sub that it will blow the fuse before it will damage your amp. But that is just a guess.
