Well I remeasured my trunk. If I were to go with a 15" ported. I highly doubt I would be able to even get the box into my trunk once it is built, due to the small trunk opening. There is barely a 14" opening front to back to slide a box into. And I don't want to mount the speaker facing up. So I think I will be restricted to 12" subs unfortunately.
So I was looking at dual 12" subs and porting them.
MB Quart RWE-304
or....
Alpine SWR-1242D - which was where I was at the beginning.
Which would be better? Both are 500w RMS rated and 1000+ max wattage.

I located RE Audio's L-Ported Enclosure Calculator. With the room I have I can come up with this for dual 12" ported systems. Both subs would have the same box design. Only one would be reversed.

and this one...

Would either of these 2 be any good for the subs mentioned above? I know I don't have much room for ported sub boxes. Because I still want to be able to use some of my trunk if needed.

I wouldn't go any smaller than 2.0 cuft (ported) for a 12" type r.

Ok. I think I figured it out. I think. I can go as high as 16.5" and as wide as 34" and as deep as 16.5" and still be able to get it into the trunk. I'll just have to fold down the rear seats and slide into the trunk. Gotta love 60/40 split folding rear seats with somewhat open access to trunk. With these measurements I can slide it into the trunk and twist it into position. And I will still be able to utilize the trunk.
This is jut an approximation for reference. But you get the Idea.

Btw this would be for the MB Quart RWE-352. As I am not for exact sure on it's tuning frequency spec I just took a rounded guess at ~33. I am no ported expert so numbers may not be exactly what they need to be or should be.
But that is the maximum size for a 15" ported that I can go.
Does that look / sound better than the way I was heading?
P.S.
Oh ya. Being powered by an MB Quart DSC1000.1. Which I got in the mail Friday.

I was hoping you would respond. The first one was just a... rough draft if you will. The second was a free bee on another forum. So I didn't figure it would be one of the best designs but would work.
Do you think you can design a better box using the measurements I provided for my maximum size?
