Just some opinions

Post by pluff30 »

Okay just wanted some opinions :argh

I'm debating on a new head unit and I've researched all over and heres what I found that I like but everyone has one thing that I want missing.

I like the JVC KW-AVX720, but it only has 2.5 volt output, does it really matter?

The clarion vx409 but it only has 3 band eq, guess I could by an eq

The Kenwood KCD-X993, would kind of like to have dvd though, wish I could justify dropping a butt load of money on DDX-814 but economy sucks.

Any way just wondering if what your opinions are, i guess what Im looking for is a possible dvd player with a 7 band eq and 4 or more volt output. for around 400ish.

dont know for sure right off hand. the 4 volt dvd for 400 may be kind of tough. You should check into the Valor line of Head Units. Jensen also has one that is very affordable dont know for sure about the voltage though.

Have you thought of giving Crutchfield a call?? Im not a fan of paying FULL retail, but the Customer Service is worth it.

You should also PM Ryanfrom Ohio, he may be able to help you and I think Bill Wolf may have some pretty good connections.

Good luck.

Get the JVC

The 2.5V isnt the end of the world providing you have good amps and no current "noise" issues.

Thank for the input. I went with the pioneer AVIC-D3, really didn't need nav, but got it at a pretty good deal $330 and from a store locally. I guess I'll give it a try, if not I think yep its going to be a jvc, i just seen a display model of the avx-11 and it was hella nice.
