CAC "Adopt a family for Christmas". Please Help!

Post by MobileAudio219 »

A few of us guys thought it would be a good idea to "adopt a family for Christmas". Ryan has a family selected and has donated a tree and I'm sending some lights and some decorations, so now we have the tree taken care of. BUT, a tree without presents under it is a mighty sad sight. Ryan, Bill and myself are going to donate some cash to give to the parents (or maybe Ryan is using the money to buy gifts, I'm not sure yet.) The point is we could use a few more donates!

Money is tight right now for a lot of people (including myself), but if 10 people donate 5 bucks that's $50. It's not really about a dollar amount, it's about friends coming together and making something good happen.

I believe the family is picking up the tree Friday morning, so time isn't really on our side with this one. Pay-pal and overnight mail is going to be our friends here. Like I said, 5 or 10 bucks would awesome, just give whatever you are comfortable with. Put a dollar in the bucket'da.... Sorry, I just really wanted to say that last part.

I will update tonight with were to send your donations.

Ok, pay pal is

[email protected]

I will be picking up a WalMart gift card Thursday.

It appears Justin has tree decorations covered...

They want to pick the tree up Friday 10 am, I will be at work. I intend to put the gift card in the tree box so they find it while setting it up. Of course I will put a noteo n it so they know its legit and good and best of all meant for them!

Just spent the package Priority Mail, it should be there Thursday.

I'm trying to see what I can round up money wise. What is the deadline Ryan, like Wednesday at X:00PM?

Well considering how this is going to work Im limited as Pay Pal takes 2-3 days after I request transfer to make it into my account so I can purchase the card.

So if the money is coming I can front it for time being, but I only have upto $100 to float. I can push a bill back a few days and be ok.

So just saying, if we get like $60 coming, It probably wont be in my account until Friday, which would be to late. So I will have to use my bill money for time being.

As you guys can see Im poor also, just in a little better position then they are I guess.

This is my fault, I forgot it takes a few days to transfer. I guess I was thinking it was instant, so I was figuring we had tell Friday morning to pay-pal.

Sorry.

I might only be able to do ten. I'm going to see what I can come up with. Is tomorrow around noon to late? I'd like to talk to some of my family to see if they want to toss in a few bucks as well.
