SQ Head Unit on a budget
I need suggestions for a single din head unit. I don't care how it looks I'm going for sound quality with a budget of $200 give or take a few. Must have include RCA outs.
Sound quality is all that matters. So what say you?
Thanks in advance guys!

What do you mean by SQ? Certain features you need? EQ? T/A? X-overs?
THat is really going to be the thing that makes a difference.
X2 old eclipse units. You should be able to get one around your budget.

if that is the case, then it is definately not a SQ head unit. MUST have CD capability on it
Look on the 'net for an Eclipse CD8455 or CD8445. Either of these will meet your needs and both have excellent sq. I run only Eclipse and I have personally owned both of these headunits. Both have 8v outs, both have T/A, both have 3way crossover capability. The 8455 give you the capability to pinpoint your T/A, whereas the 8445 only has preset T/A locations.

The 8445 only has 2-way xover, basically low pass on the sub channel, and high pass on everything else. Front and rear always match...
THat is why I was asking about the CD player, I wouldn't consider it without the CD player.
The 8455 I believe has no built in amp, which to me is good, but might not work for the OP.

this would kick ass... not sure what the rest of your setup is, but that combo is pretty serious business.
