I will make sure there are postings all around the fence that warn about the danger of the dog. That is enough warning to limit my liability. If they cross the fence and get bit, it is their own fault.
Wasnt there somethign on the news about a dog who bit a kid in a fenced in yard and the owner was forced to put the dog down?
I was under the impression that if the dog bites someone and its reported regardless of warnings, the dog has to go?
I hope not... My dog bit someone, well not really hard just kind of snapped at them, and they were all pissy... Well she provoked him... and he is a lovable dog who never bites anyone... I hope that she doesnt report my dog...
If you put signs up warning of the dog then you are admitting the dog is violent and a danger. Better to have no signs you can say it was their fault.
When I was a kid my friend had a dog that was a mean SOB and they had warning signs on thair fence. Well the paperboy tried to pet him anyway and got bit. He claimed he tripped over a half inch crack in the driveway and his hand fell over the fence. Ya right.... Anyway since the dog had bit someone in the past they had to put him down.

Dog bites me, it gets shot. If the dog is known for biting, the owner is getting shot as well.
I never understood why people like vicious dogs? I guess if you're really weak but still want people to fear you?
Sometimes dogs bite people that deserve it. And sometimes its an accident. My uncles dog bit him when he tried to break up a dog fight. The dog felt someone grab her and bit because she thought it was another dog. I'm glad my uncle didn't shoot her, shes a good dog.
My friends dog wasn't a vicious killer. It was just a family dog that was a mean and very protective of its yard and family. It never bit me or any of the other neighborhood kids. He just hated the paperboy (and anyone he didn't know) so when he stuck his hand in the dogs face it got bit. He falls into the category of deserving it.

What happens one day when the dog gets out of the fence?
Or what if they have an emergency, should personnel stand outside the fence while their house is burning down or while somebody is inside the house having a heart attack? They don't want to go inside the fence and fall into the cateory or "deserving it."
And if they do go in and the dog bites them, are they at blame for going in?
And if they don't go in and somebody dies will the family try to sue?
