Yeah, it's getting a little out dated now, figure I might move up to something that play's mp3's... I know, I know... Crazy right?

I've always had good luck with the pioneers and jvc's.

I had how most of the new decks look, ugly. I'll probably get on of those jvc decks with the little 3.5" screens that play dvd's, then put a a screen where the stock radio goes, and the hu in the console. I do a lot of driving...

my amps are older than a good number of people on this board.
My car is older than most of them.
I also haven't really made any changes in a long time. No real desire to do so. Once I got it sounding the way I wanted it to sound, I left it alone.

PS I finally went ahead and updated my profile on here. I didn't realize it'd stagnated for years. I guess it was about time.

I really haven't done much of anything related to car audio in years, won't put anything in the 4Runner, just not worth the time and expense.

I will get back into it, once I get the Camaro on the road again (if ever). The next system for that I'm going to do all the stuff I always wanted to do, but never attempted. Building my own kicks and doorpods, putting in a 2DIN Nav unit ect.

Since I won't be driving that car everyday, I'll be able to take my time on it again.

but that is if I ever get it to the point of driving again lol

Don't mean to bring up an old thread but I can feel what's been being said by all. I remember when I first started. Two 10" Ma audio subs on a 400watt baja amp. Next system was two 12" alpine type r's. Then added two 12" JLw6's. All wiring done by me and couldn't tell you how bad it was. Had fun learning and installing. This was when I was 16,17. Just startin. I wanted louder and better every time. Now......I'm going from a around 1800 watts on a 15" to a 500 watt 10" system....It just doesn't seem fun anymore to be sooo loud.

I have a ringing in my left ear do to all this loud music. I'm thinkin of turning into an SQ guy.....Billy da wolf is gonna flip...

500 watts on a 10, your all ready heading that way.

Next thing you know you will have the same power on your front stage that you do on your subs.

Just beware.... once you hear a well set up 3 way comp set, you will be hooked for life.

They are a little harder to phase and image, but my god a good 3 way set is HARD to beat.

I've had a comp set once but never hooked it up. I had it for about a month then sold em. I think they where some rainbow comps too. I can't remember. I just remember having a rainbow comp set box with a set in it. I dunno.

I do really want to set up a front stage but I've never really but much thought to it. Always just ran aftermarket coax's off the HU (noob stuff I now) I was always about have the huge bass blazing. I have a 4ch Arc audio amp sittin in my room that I've been wanting to hook up...I just never have gotten around to it. ANy suggestions???

Thats awesome Bill! Now I don't feel so bad. I've never been good with fiberglassin or else I'd make some kicks or something. I'm not to good at pickin good spots with a comp set. I don't like to make holes in the doors cover and then not like the way it's set up....
