Post by tommy.l »

i got a crossfire vr 404 for my memphis m 6x9s and 6.5s. i got it all hooked up and its making a loud screeching kinda noise non stop thru the speakers. and also if i flash my brights it makes a thump through the speakers. i rechecked all wires and connections and there are fine and ive also tuned all of the filters and gains. its pretty annoying. can anyone tell me why its din it and what i can do to make it stop

Are your rca's running parallel with the power wire to the amp? Like, are the rca's and power cable running side by side all the way to the amp?

Whats the chances, two amps, similar issues, same car.

Its the head unit.

Re ground it. Check all wiring there.

If it doesnt go away try another head unit.

Its not the amp. You wont get two bunk amps from two different companies. The odds are not high enough...

It's caused interference for me in the past. So I always run the power down one side of the vehicle and the rca's down the other side. You can give it a shot and if it doesn't work you can cross it off your list.
