And why was that car audio shop guy acting all Pimp My Ride? I bet he regrets that.
haha, it wouldnt surprise me if the director of mythbusters asked him to act excited, put the spotlight on him and he and later
Im just not impressed with the jackhammer. Not really impressed period.
I wonder what was said when they smoked those jackhammers. All the tones they were throwing at it and not to mention the sweeps. I wonder if MTX warranitied that. LOL.

i remember when they installed 2 22'' jackhammers in a work van on pimp my ride....hit a 148 or something, not on a tl, so prolly more like 144, they are pretty much a joke

i watched that episode recently. i don't even remember it getting higher than 140.
I agree I think it was something like 136 or 138... but to be honest... It's mostly due to box design.. .Oh wait in Pimp my ride there was no box... they just mounted them into the trunk with the mags ans coils in through the car... Basically using the cab as a huge enclosure...
they did 2 episodes, one had the single in the i/b in the car, the other actually had prefab jackhammer box from mtx, so 2 22's, but on to the more interesting aspect of the myth, if the guns were experienced by a true 180 db, would they go off?

The one I saw was the one with the prefab.
You know the jackhammers spl muscle aside...it still sorta irked me that they actually didnt seem to care that they smoked the subs. I mean they just try to break stuff. I dont know maybe Im the only one who feels this way, it was kinda funny, but it more pissed me off that they actually messed up a show vehicle...Ah well cats and dogs.

what i can't believe is that they put that on tv, thats really bad advertising, even if they said that it was just "the new resin setting up" I'm sure mtx replaced or reconed those subs not long after that happened. They prolly got a case of wolf syndrom
he got excited when he got the "magic spl smoke" after putting 8k on a wp woofer and having it take it for a few min in a box tuned to 45 hz (vid is after it was playing for about 2 minutes)
ahh magic spl smoke
