Okay so here's where I'm at... I ordered the wrong speaker size and the speakers were too small for the stock compartment... sent them back and got the 6.5" and the speaker *could* fit but I'd have to customize the stock location. I'm a little over my head here but it's not something I don't think I could do. The one issue I have is the depth of the speaker, I'd have to cut out the back of the stock location in order for it to fit, it's just a little bit to deep. BUT, about an inch or two behind the stock speaker compartment is the window... so even if I did cut out the stock location to make room for the speaker would speakers break the window??? I drive a 2000 honda civic and the speakers are focal's 165 CV1's if that helps:

any advice on what i can do???
and like always help/advice is def. appreciated from you guys

Exactly how much space do you need?
You could cut a baffle out of 1/2 mdf and you would probably be fine... now if your door pannel pops a bit there might be some plastic that needs to be trimmed from the inside but that should do it.
I did this on an rx8 install I did... Make a cardboard template of the speaker mounting location and then cut the wood to the template... and pre-drill your holes for the mounting screws for the speaker and the baffle.

lol i am def nervous / scared but ill let you guys know how this works out.. also when im making this baffle should i even bother making any more than a flat piece? like should i make a little mini box for the speaker, or just a flat piece for mounting purposes? ive seen some of those premade baffles @ circuit city and stuff.. i was thinking if i bought one of them and screwed them to the back of the wood it'd be a very fast/easy box for my first time.
