96 Ranger build Possibility...
While the alt is an issue (it may still be pending how involved you get with an SQ build), I'm gonna be talking with Nate later on and I'll find out what your alt options are and cost.

Just to let you know what existing equipment I have...
A/D/S/ plate amp 6.25 6 channel amp (Capable of 3x88w at 4ohms bridged)
Hifonics Brutus (1600w x 1 @ 1ohm)
Autotek SM2-1000 2 channel amp (250w x 2 @ 4ohm)
6.5" Bravox Mids purchased from Cargodz...
What I would like to have:
Bravox comp 2-way 6.5" OR 5"Kevlar or Carbon
Possibly one 8" sub that is very musical... Not looking for anything crazy. Maybe a Dayton Reference or Tang Band series???
I saw a 8" woofer that Dayton makes that will run off of the 3rd channel of my A/d/s but it may not be loud enough to have an effect... if that is the case they also make a 8" Reference Subwoofer that needs 250rms in which case I'm not sure how I would power that...
I would think that I would use the a/d/s to run the Bravox comp set and the Autotek to run the Mids... Although i'm a little worried about over-powering them with 250w to each... Should be able to handle that though. If not maybe a suggestion on a new set of mids??? That can really boom out...

I ended up dropping Bravox since I wasn't selling anything. To be honest the only thing I ever sold were all those Mids... If I coulda kept getting those and selling at those prices I woulda made a killing, I do now carry MB quart, Cadence, and Vibe though, which seems more than a fair trade off.

Damn thats a shame... I love those Kevlar components they make... So freaking sexy
Maybe some MB Quarts or Cadence...
Cadence I would be looking for either the ZRS5K or if you could get me a hell of a deal on the CVL-5K (Unlikely those things are pricey)
MB Quart:
PVI 213 Premium or the RUI 213 Reference
I like the Premium better but I don't like either of the MB Quarts power handling capabilities.
Vibe: I'm not sure I like their product range plus I've never heard them. At least with Cadence and MB Quart I've heard them and they have a pretty good report in the audio world.

Hey again... looks like the deal for the truck is going through... $2,200 for the truck and I think I'll be getting it in abut 2 weeks... Keeping my fingers crossed for this one... Since I already pulled all the audio out of the Dodge... I would have been really pissed if I had to re-run all that crap again... Still I need to transfer the Alpine to the Ford and the sony from the Ford into the Ram... I think I might buy some new wiring from Knuconcepts as well... I gotta see what my budget looks like...
BTW i'm still looking into an 8" woofer for this install... If anyone knows about a good one besides the one that i listed before ... Let me know.

Believe Cadence has a 10" slim woofer that will work with 250 WRMS.

I never did like Pioneer or Kicker's slim line woofers... they sound very clunky... I dunno if thats an accurate description of what I am hearing but i think you understand the description...
Was my idea for an 8" dayton woofer a bad one? It has a very low RMS and could easily be powered by my 5th channel on my a/d/s/ amp.
