I like your enthusiasm guys... I think that's just more trouble than its worth though...

If this happens it will be a simple eggress into the truck bed that will be sealed...

much less room behind the seat of a ranger than there is an s10, but power acoustik has a 13" shallow mount that only has a 2" mounting depth

Yea... I kinda just bought these Autoteks and i really like them so I would be looking to retain them or sell both and maybe, if the price is right, commission Bill to build me a SQL sub... again all of this is up in the air but if it ever comes to fruition I will be sure to let u know

Build a box in the bed firing the subs up. Then take a set of mdf and wall the box off from the rest of the bed. Now cut a plexi glass window in the wall that's big enough to where you won't loose any visibility. Because the bed is pretty wide and you can go pretty tall (to the window line) you can keep the dept down to the diameter of the subs, so 12-15". Not a ton of wasted space, decent cuft'age, hardly (if any) loss of visibility ...
While it may seem like more work, it's not really when you think about the fact that you have to do the cutting in the bed and the cab, shape and sand both, then still get the gasket to seal it up from the elements... If you go the back window route however, you can much more easily convert it back to stock when you're ready to get rid of it.

Just some more food for thought :)

Oh I see what you are all saying now... It would be aesthetically easier to do that for sure.

But I'll be honest... I love cutting metal seeing sparks fly and what not... Its my inner pyro i guess...

I will have to see... Luckily I do know a guy who i ride with who used to work in a car audio shop thats done some pretty nice systems before... I'm sure he can help me... Although his specialty was integrating systems into high end cars like Lambos, bentlys, all that jazz... I would love to just sit in a Lambo, let alone install in one...

Oh well he is trading Lambo's for a Ranger then lol

Hey don't get me wrong... I LOVE the idea of a blowthrough, but when you said that you might only be looking at having the truck for a couple years and then sell off for some other daily driver, I thought I would throw out an option that would help resale down the road.

Just curious, but how much are you paying for the truck and how many miles?

Well the guy wants 3k for this thing... I think that given the fact that my father gave up a $5k bonus on the guys house... he should sell it to us for about 1-1.5k...

Miles...? I have no clue... But with a new or rebuilt motor and tranny its like giving a face lift to a 60 yr old? Sometimes you just cant tell how worn the truck is.

Ill post apic tonight

Yeah, I'd say if he can provide receipts for the motor and transmission and the rest of the truck didnt have a billion miles it'd be a pretty good deal...

Remember though, you can find a 96 ranger with around 100,000 miles on it for around $1,500.

Even if the motor and transmission only have 5-10,000 miles, if the rest of the truck has 200k on it, you could find yourself getting nickled and dimed to death for brake/suspension parts.
