its a simple concept if you understand electricity and how sub woofers work, Think of it like this.
We all know how a magnet work's there is a north and south or +/- side if you will.
The amplifier outputs AC electricity at a certain frequency say 30hz. so the wave form of the ac electricity is 30 cycles per second. so now the sub uses that energy to change the electromagnet (coil) from + to - 30 times per second. Well when you have a magnet inside another magnet that is constantly changing polarity they either repel or attract. So think of it like this the wave hits the positive peak of the wave and the Coil which is now an electromagnet is attracted to the fixed magnet of the sub. then at the bottom of the wave the coil changes to negative and it is repelled by the fixed magnet. all this happens at 30times per second and that's how you get your 30hz.
Those subs are basically the same, the electric motor has two internal fixed magnets and the actual spinning portion of the motor (electromagnet) then spins at a certain speed based on the input electrical frequency.
that's y you can run things like reciprocating saw's with high power amps.

Ive seen this before.
Looks like a simple off the shelf electric motor (AC Obviously), with some sort of a gear box and a fan attached to it. However the blades look to be flat, not to produce wind?
I dont think its anything special. If you look here:http://www.sonicflare.com/archives/emin ... part-2.php Notice the bottom picture. Thats a standard motor, w/tag and a warning sticker on it.
Then here:

Second picture. Its the same but the company -producing these photo chopped the pic to cover the motor plate info up.

As I said when I first saw it, interesting design but the cost really doesn't justify the means and I still question the overall ability and sound quality it would produce... One of those I'd have to see it fist hand to believe it's full potential.
