I'd go with 4 gauge, not alot more money, and it may just save you from having to run larger gauge wire later...jgs07 wrote:so i bought the amp. should i be fine running the 8 gauge being that im only using a little more than half of the amps power or should i run 4 gauge? in the manual amp says i should run a min of 8 gauge.

^ Agreed... For the added security trade up to the 4 gauge... You're getting an amp of better than average quality, so you might as well go with the higher end wiring to hook it up with.
