Cousin just called me, said his dakota got repo'd.

He wants me to hook him up with a truck.... :bow

I have a lead on a few things, but I think I'll let this be a lesson learner...

BTW, Chris (his roommate) who works with him installing cable, went in a house to do a install, when he came back out to grab some line the truck was GONE!!! Repo man is very good!!!!

That had to be really embarassing!!!

If I dont help him find something one of them will lose their job, so I dont know what to do...

Something I didnt mention before, I think my cousin and Chris are more than just friends... When Chris moved in, he slept in Josh's bed "so he wouldnt have to sleep on the couch." Once I moved out, chris continued to sleep with Josh "because they didnt have another bed, and didnt have the money to buy one." Then they bought a water bed, put it in Josh's room, and gave Josh's bed to his brother...

I could honestly care less, but it leads me to believe that Josh will give Chris the Chevy to drive, which means Josh will get fired... Josh still owes me money on the chevy...

I told him I wouldnt do payments, and he said "they'd just put their checks together and wanted me to find them something for 5-600... :bigwink:

Well, I decided to go ahead and help him out...

I sold my uncle my old 93 s10 about 6 months ago, it was a great running little work truck, I just wanted to find something a little nicer...

Well last week my uncle told me he's sell it to me for 400 bucks because he was to lazy to fix the high/low beam switch (the headlights only stay on low beam, won't switch to high beam), but he'd throw in the part..

So I called him, told him we were coming up with 500, and to flip me a 100 bucks for making the sale... Ehh, its a quick 100 bucks!!

Heres a picture from when I had it...

The day after I took this picture I spent the day cleaning it, took the carpet and seat out and power washed them, washed the underside and engine/engine bay, and then waxex the truck twice... It cleaned up fairly well, I can't find the "after" pictures though...

I don't think anyone else on this forum has had more or sold more trucks than you... I kinda envy you... You probably have massive amounts of experience with fixing trucks... Probably make a nice little business out of it.

I don't know about that ^... I'm sure he's been through more Fords, but I used to go through vehicles on a monthly (sometimes weekly basis), especially when I was a mechanic and a used car dealer. Now it's like a couple a year since my wife won't let me go through them like water anymore :P
I am going to have a couple up for sale soon though :)

Sounds like my uncle, he always has 2-3 cars for sale at any givin time...

I buy junkers, fix them up, drive them for a little while, then sale them for a nice profit..

I was talking to my buddy the other day (dealer) about maybe getting a dealer licenses....

See if you can work under your buddies license... You could save a ton and just pay him the taxes on the ones you flip plus a small percentage or flat fee per each.

I usually find him the cars for a finders fee, you know, to keep it legal.... lol

I worked for him for about 7 years, everytime I see him he tries to get me to come back to work for him, but I'm trying to do my own thing, you know?

If I every get to go look at that house I'll be in pretty good shape... Right now I'm about to head out to my uncles to get started on the monte...
