Best songs to play?

Post by thebigo »

So what everyone's favorite songs to play that sound really good on a nice system? I'm trying to expand my music collection, seeing what songs sound really good. The following are my favorite, it's all I can think of for now...

All around:
Thunderstruck-AC/DC
The birth and death of the Day-Explosions in the sky
South oh heaven & Silent Scream - Slayer

Loud Bass:
King Kong - Chamillionare
I wanna love you - Akon
Waiting for my Ruca - Sublime

Really funny songs:
Balls in your mouth - Kid Rock

Speaking of Dire Straits, Telegraph Road has a great dynamic range of volume starting out quite soft and builds up to classic Mark Knopfler signature stuff.

I have a long list of CDs I listen to. Chesky records has some good compilation discs. I also have some Focal Demo discs which are chock full of very high quality music. Dead Can Dance - Into the Labyrinth is a great CD, although people look at you funny when they get in your car and that was playing loud the last time you drove.

I'll post up some more tonight from home

Metallica Justice for All

Bass heavier

Saliva
Tupac, most

Soundstage
William Tell Overture
Beethoven
Mozart
