State Gas Tax as well as Cost of living is different in each place...

Other than that, its 1.94 to 2.29 around here in CT...

I recently filled up for $1.79 in NJ :sm29:

I am glad the prices are going down but what should be done is this:

If it truely is going to hurt some of our economy, then what they should do is impose a flat gas tax regulated by the government kept at $2.50 for 87 and let the gov get extra .50 per gallon to start paying off our debt, or even better put it into a better stimulus package or somethign to help out people who are struggling... I dunno sound like a good idea??

I dont know, I dont see how lower gas prices are going to hurt the economy...

I think we'd bet better off if the government themselves took some lay offs and pay cuts and leave the gas prices alone.

Its hurting other economy's like russia and the oil producing nation's they spent billions assuming gas prices and oil would stay high. now its not high and the money they assumed they would have went poof Up in smoke.

oil is staying steady around 50-60 bucks a barrel as of late which means gas in the 140-170 range.
