For when cars are implemented

Post by William from NOLA »

I know that one day you'll get around to putting cars in, and I have a suggestion.

Race them, SQ, and SPL drag them :D

I say have the car be able to do either so that you aren't limited, but every car audio item should add weight and make it slower.

I think for the car audio we should have nearly everything. Different boxes, walls, subs with different specs (as opposed to only sizes), electrical upgrades, chassis stiffening (concrete floor, etc), dampening, different wire, processors, etc.

That could also really eat up some money in the game :D

Dude get out of my house, or at least knock first. If you wanted to read my notes, then you could have asked lol

That is exactly the same idea that I've been thinking of, having equipment that you oculd use for audio comps, but the equipment adds weight that could harm your racing.

It's going to be a lot of coding tho, and for now I need to get these other bugs fixed first :(

I really want to start on this one tho!

This is an issue I have wanted to see addressed in the console racing games for a while. Those games have the cusomizing but it has no reflection on the performance of the car at all.

It would be so cool to make this edition to the game as one that like everyting else in the game you make do with what you have. Only afford sparkomatic?? and roadmaster, thats cool just make it sound good, when you level up you can get better equipment.

I can see this game going places, I already like it, and with these additions it could get big quick.

well that may be so. I dont think any of the racing games have that reflection. It's like they put the options to do these things, but they give you a totally unrealistic circumstance, all the weight of subs and amps none of the side effects.

On a side note I would like to see the quality of the install in place if he decides to go this route.

Oh, that gives me another idea, which Chris has probably already thought of lol

How about a quality install option? When you get a new piece of equipment, you should have some options for equiping it: install yourself (costs include install kits, materials, etc), Best Buy/Circuit City install (not guaranteed to last or hold up in a comp), or Custom shop install (best option)
