15"'s in a single cab truck??? That seems like it's gonna be a hassle to really make room for all that. I know it can be done, but I thought DD were some real beffy subs.

True... But that's to say if you can handle the smell of the resin, most of my buddies hate it, but it doesn't bother me at all :)

handle the smell of the resin,
Cuz it killed all your smelling brain cells, lol. I dunno it just seems like a hassle to try and get this project together. I've tried to fiberglass and it was a disaster. I won't get another single cab truck because of that. Just no room!

Between resin, gasoline fumes, and the cleaning chemicals we use for work you're probably right LOL... I just like the idea of a challenge too I guess, so I'd be all for walling a single cab pickup :D

Sorry guys i was away for awhile.....but anyways i think the best idea out there is slim mount subs, but i have absolutely no experience with these. I'm thinking 1 good 12" would do nicely because i think that would be better than two cheaper ones. What are some good suggestions of shallow mount subs for like 100-150$

Speaking strictly for myself, I like the punch shallow mounts, and the kicker shallow mounts. Most people around here may not care for either of those two, but I do think they are worth a look. Others will chime in with their suggestions, and take them all into consideration. Then make a informed decision.

Kicker and pioneer both have slim mount subs, both I believe are in your budget range.

JL Audio just released their new slim sub, but I believe its about 2-3 over youre budget, so it probably wont do you much good...

Theres other brands as well, just do a good search and I'm sure it will bring up some, if youre unsure about them just ask and we will point you in the right direction.

I forgot about JL. I think that Pioneer even has the premier in shallow mount dont they. Those would definetly be something to consider.

The Premiers and regular Pioneer shallow subs are the same drivers (almost). I wouldn't think of the Premier of being anything different other than the name for just the shallow subs.
