BMXing

Post by High Society »

Hey guys, just a question for any BMX riders. I'm gonna venture into this hobby and wanted to know if anybody can recommend me a fourm, bike, parts, ect. My cousin is an advide BMXer and we are gonna start riding together. I was just wondering if anyone could give me some advice.

It has been a long time since I did any bmxing. Mongoose, GT, Haro, are all good bikes. I know Mongoose is still in the game, and I think Haro and GT are also. When you say street riding do you mean just that "street riding" or are you talking about tricks and freestyle??

Mongoose still should be making good bikes as long as you don't buy the walmart ones.

Haro was still in the game 2 years ago. I hope they still are. I have a Haro Backtrail X1 that I need to buy a new tire tube for.

Ya, true about mongoose but I just can't stand riding a bike that can be bought in walmart. I know that they do make great bikes if you buy from a bike shop, but I got a bike from my cousin and I need to upgrade a few things. Craigslist here I come!

I would also stay way away from the Walmart Mongoose. Haro is the real deal if they are still in it. but if you do go to a shop and get a 'goose you will have a very nice bike.

I always wanted a 'goose but could never afford one, so if you get one think of me :happy055:

lol, na, I wont buy a goose because it's too mainstream. My cousin and I are actually going to custom build one. I can't wait till it's all finished.
