I really like that style of monte. My mother in law picked one up a few months ago, Aside from the the 80's monte that is my favorite body style.

Have fun with it, and keep the pix comin,

I'll probably end up keeping it until spring, then sell it and buy another fox body.

If once I get it fixed I really like driving it (which I suspect I will) I might pick up a supercharged 3.8 at pick n pull (theres usually a few) and build it up a little...

I guess well just have to see....

Might wanna look into a little tranny work as well. The trans for the supercharged 3800 is the HD version.

Just a thought

Obviously!

I'm debating on trying to change the intake (and possible head) gaskets or just say EFF it and do a full rebuild... Or maybe find a good used engine...

Well I went out to the shop this morning and I decided to pull the motor out and do it right...

The plan is to have the crank polished, cyl honed, new freeze plugs, new main/rod/cam bearings, rings, oil pump, timing chain, have the heads redone, and put it all back together with new gaskets..

I got the engine sitting on the ground but thats as far as I got...

I'm going to put it on the engine stand tomorrow and rip it apart and take the bare block and crank shaft to the shop and have him start them....

I'm going to do the assembly myself to save money...

I'm hoping to have it running but the end of the month... :happy055:
