Don't even start with this shit. nobody wants to hear it. just remember your democrats were the ones in control of the house and the senate. just so you know if you respond to this comment i wont so save your breath. no point in arguing over the past.

Justin, Obama has already started the process as a senator to have Assault weapons and semi automatic weapons banned. whether or not he decides to take them remains to be seen but he wont be getting mine regardless. i really don't think he would be able to pull it off but its a damn good excuse to go buy the guns i been putting off ;)

im a pretty avid hunter and no matter what ill still have my guns

obama seemed like the lesser of the 2 evils to me
i really didnt like how mccain did his campaign and sarah palin is good for alaska only once she was on the national circuit i lost all respect for her. i cant wait til she comes home has to deal with troopergate and a few other things then doesnt get re-elected. speaking of reelections ted stevens needs to go ive never liked that guy and hes a criminal the people keeping him in power dont really live up in alaska theyre southern oil workers.
im glad i wont have to hear to much of that empty slogan "god bless america" now too i dont think god picks favorites. no more hearing "my friends" or palin asking people to pray for whatever thatll be nice im really not a fan of religion especially western doomsday types dont really like eastern religion either.

anyways im happy with the outcome.

One way or another we were going to have a new president and now we will... I (like Senator McCain) would like to congratulate our new President elect Obama. I am glad to see one thing out of all things and that is that the American public is now able to see past the color of someones skin and for that it is at least a step in the right direction for us as a society. Obama will have many struggles ahead and as Americans (although we may not agree with all of his opinions and issues) should at least stand behind him on the ones we do agree with, and as Americans who as a majority have voted him into this office should take part in the many elections to come to assist our new President elect in making the right choices... Many of us may still be of the mindset that I am just one person and I cannot make a difference, but as this election has proven... You Can!... You can, contact your local and state representatives on issues that concern you... You can, take up petitions on things that affect our communities... You can, be a voice by upholding our laws, just doing what is right for one another and teach our children to do the same... And most of all... You can say that you still live in a society that can still make a difference and call yourself an American.

I voted Bob Barr.

I agree with coleman, obama was the lesser of 2 evils. I couldn't make my self a single issue voter and vote for someone i didn't like because of guns. I can live without those.

Unfortunately, it looks like they've got congress which brings me to this:
Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men
Let us hope for the best.

Also. they might ban new purchases.. tax the **** out of ammo... and all that, but they CAN'T take them.

Did anyone honestly expect McCain to win? You were delusional if you did - he ran a terrible campaign, he picked the worst possible VP, and he didn't do enough early on to distance himself from bush which is the primary reason why he didn't get votes.

Americans has spoken, and unfortunately some people just won't accept that fact. Now, I'm unsure what this is going to bring us in the future, but i'm hoping it will be good.

Atleast McCain did the right thing, he conceded like a man instead of dragging this out.

AGREED. And on another note, hopefully the issue of color/nationaity/religion/whatever will start to fade out as a reason as to why someone can or can not achieve something. I especially enjoy that there are so many elderly blacks that probably thought they'd never see somethign like this in their life time are able to see this happen, as most they've been around to go through the oppression and hate. While that is gradually dying down, its sad that its even a problem now days. There are still idiots who think its cool to talk about assassinating him because he's black.
