cargodz wrote:Heck if the guy who has it is willing to give you a bill of sale that includes the line "storage fees paid in full" (doesn't have to give a price) they may be willing to give you the title just for the title fees too since now obviously you would hold the note on the storage which by far exceeds the amount of the vehicle.

I never thought of that, thats a great idea!

If financial companys can sell "past due accounts" then why can't he sale me the "past due account" on the car? I wouldnt be buying the car, but the rights to the storage fee's.

Then I can go into the bank and say "hey, I bought the account from so and so, and I want to see if we can work something out"

:surprised BURN!!!!

All the banks are under to much heat right now with foreclosures, so they ain't gonna spend any more money then they have to... Plus if they were really gonna do that, don't you think they'd have done it to the other guy by now.

scrap is way down in my area.... 50 dollars a ton I believe, but I could part it out (fenders, bumpers, hood, doors, hatch, 1/4's, core support, roof skin, all the interior parts) really strip it, then take the hacked up shell to the scrap yard...

The scrap yard doesnt require titles or anything like that, It would probably on bring 5 bucks, but it would be gone.

But the car parted out would still bring you back your $250 plus a lil spending cash.

Oh yeah, if I part it, the only thing going to the scrab yard is going to be the scab...

I'm taking 1/4 panels, roof panels, cowl panel, doors, fender, hood, bumpers, EVERYTHING...

The part that goes to the scrap yard would weigh at most a couple hundred pounds!

Thats if I cant work anything out with the bank, or they can't tell me how to get a title...

Heck if you could find another donor car same year with the title you could always piece together one good car from all the parts too.
