how do you do that

I have seen this done in several post and I can't figure out how to do it.
I have seen just parts of posts used in the quote.

Like maybe just a sentence and it say quote " yadda yadda yadda"
and it have the block around the sentence like it does when you quote a whole post.

Not multiple quotes I know how to do that, I just cant figure out how to do like just a sentence in a post.

Just delete what you don't want in the quote basically.
