Im also curious to know what brands yall carry. Im not that impressed with yalls choice in equipment in some of your builds. but if the customer has no clue what there buying and thinks its worth paying for all the more power to ya i guess.

do it then. seriously. its very easy to pick on someone elses work and i will not say i have never given someone a hard time about an install but, i also know that few installs are absolutely perfect. each installer has a flavor they bring to the job and the one thing that should be constant is wiring integrity and safety of the install. methods will vary from installler to installer but to say you could do ten times better is a very bold statement to make. i challenge you to do it. maybe not on that level because there was a tremendous amount of money invested in equipment but lets see your best shot at a custom install.could have easily made something ten times better.

For real dude. Put up or shut up! There may be things you yourself would do different but saying and doing are two different things.

The line about the customer having no clue, is a trust issue. They trust Will and his crew to make the best choice and do the best job they can with the time and money allowed. I myself think it is an incredible sign of respect that they trust them to make that choice.
Didn't munky trust you to build his speaker box for him?? I mean he knew you would use wood, but did he go and show you specifically which sheets to buy??
No matter how high class a shop may be they cant build a $10,000 system on a $2,000 budget. Get my point??

Smoker, I am not a custom installer, now have I ever said I was.
I am however a mechanic and some of the wiring that I was shown was a jumbeled up rats ball of crap.
I have NEVER left a vehicle in that type of condition.
Can I fiberglass? No, if I applied myself and educated myself could I? yes
What I'm saying is that if I was a custom installer of that level and commitment to my customers I would be doing a lot better installs.
If you really want to "challenge" me to a custom install thats perfectly fine but thats not what I'm trying to do. I'm simply saying that 100,000 dollar system install needs to be perfect expecially when the components cost maybe! what 5,000-10,000 dollars?
I didn't see what speakers/subs/tv's etc were used or solenoids and all that to make everything work correctly. But when let's say 70% of the cost is labor..it better be one hell of a good job. A 2 day job for 70,000 dollars... is bullshit and you know it.
OHHH: And I will be doing a custom install if I can ever get some money and a vehicle to do it in, but that'll take time and money which unfortunately I don't have a lot of either. I assure you, I will make something WAY better or at least better install that what I've seen from unique. Again I'm not saying ALL their work is bad, but when are at that level...your not allowed to have shitty installs. The owner should have seen the install, called Orlando and said "sorry mate, gonna knock off 10k give us another week or two we'll have it ready" and done the job right!.

OH, and quit blowing smoke up his ass...
I doubt it is unique and if it is..Show some respect for the board.
I can't stand when someone comes on here and digs up some old shit to post some random crap. If it was a normal person all of you would have been like "ban" but instead since its a ...bullshit celebrity ya'll wanna [censored because I just don't wanna type it]

i dont know the guy personally but you cant do half of what they do. you just admitted your not an installer but claim to be able to do an install 10 times better and then couldnt. armchair quarterbacks are always right though arent they? ive seen guys who could build complete frame off custom body dropped bagged vehicles chopped tops, custom frames, paint and everything that couldnt do a fiberglass sub box to even a small degree of quality of the rest of their work. oh and by the way, there is no x in the word especially......

Well Glen, I hate to break it to you... But I believe this really is Troy from Unique since he posted the same email that is posted on the unique website for store contact info.ZeroAccess wrote:OH, and quit blowing smoke up his ass...

And yeah all of us hate that... Why else do you think Terry and I went on about showing respect to earn it around here, and everyone else under the initial ussumption that it was only spamming... But Troy did apologize if he came off the wrong way at first... And so I think we are attempting to give him a new start, not to blow smoke up his ass as you so astutely put it.ZeroAccess wrote:I can't stand when someone comes on here and digs up some old shit to post some random crap.
Sure maybe some of the installs may not be up to par, but I have seen a few that I thought were very nicely done such as Tony Stewart's hearse (I think I'm remembering that's right for who they built it for).
