P.O.S Air Conditioner...

Post by MobileAudio219 »

Well it started getting pretty warm in here so I went and checked out the thermostat and it was on 68, which is where it normally stays.

I walked to the air condition closet and sure enough the lines are all iced up. Pull the front panel off and the condenser is iced up, blocking any air flow to the fan...

I left the cover off to let the hot air from the house get in and start the melting process... It's about 85 degrees in here, and I cant sleep when it's hot.

It's just about ready to put back together so I can get some sweet relief, hopefully it wont freeze back up before they can get somebody out here to fix it...

Update, most of the ice was gone, so I put it back together and turned it to fan only, this should draw the hot air from the house through the condenser ...

We usually keep it around 68 during the day because we are in and out, then turn it down to around 64 at night. We both sleep right in front of a fan so it makes it cool enough... I perfer to be freezing cold wrapped up in blankets and in front of a fan, but thats to freakin expensive...

In the winter we keep it around 68 during the day and drop it to around 60 at night..

Yes, I sleep with a blankie, I have to, I can't sleep without it and a fan blowing on my face....

i can't sleep without a fan.

remind me to get a UPS for mine just incase the power goes out with all these damn hurricanes.

and no to getting sick with a fan on my face.

my theory has always been that i'd much rather be too cold than be too hot. everyone knows this of course.. when you're hot you can only take so much off, and even then your still uncomfortable. when you're cold, you just add more clothes/blankies/etc.
