Debate with sister.
So my sister and I got into a heated debate on exactly how much the goverment should have to help some of our fine citizens.
I pointed out her fat friend Tabby. Tabby got pregant right after high school, so the goverment stepped up and said "hey, we'll give you this much." Well "that" much was enough... for a while!
Then Tabby went out like the fat wh#re that she is and had TWO more kids. So now the goverment pays her more... More to do what? Sit on her fat @ss and eat oreo's of course.
Now, not only does flabby Tabby get a check for her kids, she gets food stamps, wic, and free health insurance... She also gets h.u.d, which basically means the goverment pays her rent for her... Such great inspiration to get a job, huh!
There is nothing keeping her from working... Well, other than her laziness and desire to milk the system. I said they should make her get her tubes tied, or stop assisting her!
What about the kids she says?
Well, once she proves that shes unable/unwilling to provide for the kids, they should take them away. Then her fat ass would be stuck (not literally, but not unlikely, she is rather large!).
She'd would either STEP up and get a job and learn to provide for herself, or the process of elimitation (which in this case is death) would STEP in and take care of the problem.
I think if she wants to go to college, sure give her a student loan and help her with child care, but also make her fat ass get a job and work 40 hours a week...
Apparently the old saying "nothing in life is free" no longer holds any meaning.
My sister thinks I'm an asshole for feeling this way. She thinks the goverment needs to mend to every lard'o because it's not their fault they are lazy and dont want work, its their parents, or the goverments, or....
Biatch please.
Some of the best lessons in life are free...
You no workie, you no get pay...
I see it being that simple.
NOTE: I do think that in many cases the people on government assistance really do need it, I'm sorely speaking of the ones milking the system.. Just thought I'd clear that up.

I get beyond pissed off when I see someone at wal-mart talking about how they don't have anything to do all week and aren't really looking for a job. Then pays with a wic card.
I told you my wife had someone pay with a 1,000/month wic card. What the hell is that!?
My step-sister at one point was the same exact thing your talking about above and she finally decided to try and do something about it. I don't mind the goverment helping people in need but I'm SICK AND DAMN TIRED of people receiving free health care and housing when it cost me 1,000+ dollars a month. Shit I wish I could quit my job and not have to worry about a damn thing.
I think they should be allowed 6months and thats it! Unless they can provide a steady work history of at least 3months and 35+ hrs a week. If they can meet this criteria and are asking for an extension 3 months can be given. After 9months of free living you should easily be able to save enough for a reliable car and a deposit for a home/rent. If the first 6months you do not have a steady work history or like an assload of rejection notices from employers (which the Employment agencies help with this) then your gone. Kicked out, for at least two years. After two years you can try and go back into the system.
Thats just a rough plan...not that it makes a whole lotta sense but it'd be better than whats offered at the moment.
I completely agree with the fact that were not rehabilitating people were giving them a free way out.
Now elderly = completely different story, if your older than say 70 ...I say let ya have a free ride, you seen enough shit in a lifetime.

Yep I agree. Lazy people piss me off to no end.
Hell we should put them to work for the government digging drainage ditches by hand 3 days a week. Till they find a real job. But that wouldn't take them long.
Maybe I should explain a little better. I know unemployment is high, but I'm a strong believer you can find a job if you really apply yourself. If someone doesn't find a job in 6 months, we should find one for them (obviously something they won't like). Unless they can prove they have been trying.

It's not that they can't find a job, it's that they can't find a job they want!
This is one that has bothered me for a very long time... especially with all that is and have been wrong with both my wife and myself we could easily apply for disabilty and social security... Why don't we then you ask?
Simple... We have ethics and morals... We believe in being good role models for our children and grandchildren... I understand that you may not always find the job you want, but if you want to live life to it's fullest, sometimes you have to make consessions about such things.
It's funny when you consider that unemployment only pays you for so long after being layed off, but give our government a sobluck story and spit out a couple kids and you're good for the next 20 years... That ain't right!

I agree...
SSI, disablity, medicade and things of that nature are great for those who actually need it! I think it would be horrible to cut these services for people who truely need them...
If youre a single mom with 3 kids, from 3 different dads, who just sits at home all day watching Jerry Springer and collecting a check when you could be out working, then yeah, I have a problem with you...
I dont think we should cut the welfare system out completely, I think it should be used as a temporary life line, not a life long luxury.
EDIT: My sister asked about the dead beat dads. My suggestions. Garnished wages, neuter him, ect.
