True, but it's not just a regular raise, it's a new job title that requires you to have more responsibility.

It really depends on what kind of worker you are, and what youre new duty includes.

If you can get 20%, that would pretty damn good.

i got a 12% raise when i went from associate engineer to Tooling Engineer 1

Asking for 20./hr isn't that far off. at 20% he would be making 17.70/hr. So if asks for 20. he could settle for 17.50ish/hr.

I say go for it, a lady that was interviewing me told me one time "to never sell yourself short."

All they can do is laugh and point, and tell him they can get somebody to do it for less than that, oh and they can also say no.

well we had a guy here ask for to much and they fired him for it. he got his ass canned lol. i told him it was a bad idea lol. just do what i said and look up your EMV. being edukateaded about your pay is gonna help you immensely
