Stupid people (Caller about the intake.)
So I get a call early from this guy, heres how it went.
Him: Yeah uhm, I'm calling about the intake, is it the tubular design?
Me: No, its the (p) design like I said in the ad.
Him: Oh, I'm looking for a tubular intake.
Me: Yeah, they are hard to find.
Him: I found a couple on ebay, but they were like 500 bucks.
Me: Yeah, they arent cheap.
Him: Ok, thanks anyways.
Then a few minutes later I get a text from him asking if I will take 100 bucks? I had it listed at 200, but would take 150, which is what I told him. Which leads to the following texts.
Him: I only want to give 100.
Me: sorry, I wont take less than 150...
Him: why, will you be losing money??
Me: It doesnt matter what I paid for it, it only matters what its worth. I wont take less than 150...
Him: Well its not worth 150 to me, wont boost my horse power enough..
Me: what mods do you have?
Him: everything but a intake.
Me: like?
Him: GT 40 X heads, headers, Short throw shifter.
Me: One a mostly stock engine, these intakes do really well. Alot of the aftermarket intakes make a little more upper end power, but at the cost of lower end torque. These intakes are really good street intakes, make good low end torque and dont really start cutting off til 5,500 rpms.
Him: Oh, how much horse power boost? You wont take 100 bucks?
Me: sorry, sold the first one after about 15 mins off it being on the net, and have a few other people interested in this one...
Him: Ok, nevermind...

So the intake that I found in the back of the explorer, I didnt check to see what year it was, but it has the egr passage which means it was a 96 or 97, which means it had the freakin X heads on it.
The heads were already gone (the reason the intake was already off), but man, I was CLOSE...
I'm going to start hitting the yards hard. I been trolling ebay to see what parts are selling good, and I'm going to start looking for those parts... CHA-CHING!

I love people like that (sarcasm intended)... They think they're time is worth sooo much, but never consider that they're wasting yours.
