Need Help Choosing An Amp
Need Help Choosing An Amp
Ok well i'm new to all this car audio stuff, and i really don't know what amp i need. I'm looking at installing DVC 10" Subs and 4 Coaxial Speakers. The subs are running at 1500 RMS and about 3000 max watts. I'm putting in 4 speakers each with an output about 160 watts as it's max power handling. So that's 640 watts combined. The two amps i was looking at are 1800 Watts and a 2080 Watts Amp. The 1800 Amp is a Mono-Block amp with built in crossover while the 2080 Amp is a 4 Channel (bridgeable to 3 or 2 channels) with a built in adjustable crossover network. What i'm asking is which one is best suited for my needs. I honestly am new at all this stuff and am trying to learn, but i could use a little help, let me know if you need more info.

I know he carries the quantum stuff, cause I got two cozmic 15's from him about a month ago.
You need to look at rms power more than peak, as the rms is more accurate and "real world".
A four channel amp would be more cost effective, as it could be the only amp you would need.
As the other post said get with Terry, he goes by smoker. Shoot him a pm.
