DEH-P5500MP SW output?

i have the Pioneer DEH-P5500MP. It says it has a subwoofer output. what does that mean to me? and also, am i able to run 2 amps? or only 1 and use that subwoofer output?

Does it have a subwoofer output AND 1 or 2 more pre amp outputs? If you were gonna run multiple amps off of just the sub out, you could either get an rca splitter or get an amp that has an output on it.

it has a subwoofer output and i believe 1 preamp output. what exactly does the SW output do?

Without looking anything up, sounds like it will just be a non-fading subwoofer output with possibly a pre-set low pass filter on it. Do you not have a user manual? If you go pioneerelectronics.com (I think that's their site) you should be able to find the user manual online if it's a fairly new head unit.

the user manual doesnt show for some reason :-/ and the manual i have doesnt have any extensive info on it. i know someone on this site has the same HU as me so im hoping he will come out and answer me..

It is a non fading full pass (selectable low pass filter) output. You can set it in your "audio" menu and adjust the frequency and volume.
