finally got jacked :(

Post by lotas »

Well after 4years in the hobby I finally got robbed. I had my CD player in my glove box (it was expanding foamed/caulked in) and customized with a piece of granite for the face. Anyways they managed to bust all that out, and then I had my JL 300/4 in the trunk that had not been hooked up for a few weeks, and they nabbed that.

The funny part is there was a $500 acoustic guitar in the back seat, in plain sight, no case even, they left that. My guess is punk little shits. Also the CD player no longer ejects CDs (have fun listening to Dave Matthews, kids) and the JL only half of the channels work.

But I must say, what an odd feeling. I now have EMPATHY, not sympathy for those who have been robbed.

Let's see what insurance has to say. I have both receipts.

Yup, came home after long day at work, was bringing groceries into the house from car, left the bag of dog food for the last trip and forgot about it, car was unlocked in my driveway. It happened right outside my living room whrere I was sleeping, but I suppose they managed to be pretty quiet with no locks.

They had balls though, I live on an arterial, a fairly busy street, my car is always backed in about 20-30ft from the main street, they were in plain sight. Just realized they took my iPod as well.

Aside from having your house broken into (had that happen also bout 2 yrs ago), that is the worst feeling. It happened to me when me and wife were dating right outside a Ponderosa. I guess I had it coming though cause I had been listening to my system about 30 minutes before it happened. At the time I had Clarion Pro Audio receiver 4 10's a PPI A600 and Kicker amp for my mids.

The people who got me were ballzy too, right outside Ponderosa in the broad daylight with traffic on every side. All they got though were a pair of sunglasses my brother gave me some CD's and the face to my Clarion, morons guess they didn't realize it wouldn't work with just any head unit.

So sorry for your loss man, I know how it feels. :sad017: :sad017:

Man that's got to really bug ya when they take something that will do them no good, and then screws you over. Im thinking I'll invest in either a HPS security light, or a $100 camera/monitor.

It does bother you. But like my brother told me when our house got busted into, "everytime you read in the paper about somebody getting caught stealing or with stolen goods it will make you feel just a little bit better."

When I hear about somebody getting ripped off like you did it opens up the wound and I feel bad for what happened to me, but I feel worse for the person who got jacked. Sorry man.

I guess even though you worked for the money, and put the time in for it all, they thought they deserved it more than you did.
I really hate you got jacked but I'm glad the stuff they got will do them little to no good.

Don't worry dude Karma will catch up with them it always does. ;)
