This stuff blows

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stinging_nettle

Went for a bicycle ride today (trying to get in shape) and decided to stop for a second and take a drink.

So i finished my drink, started back up hill, and my damn pedal didn't want to click into my shoe. So over I went right into a patch of stinging nettle.

LOL

So now my leg from my sock up to my shorts, and my entire arm is covered in little red burning bumps.

Well at least I didn't pull a smoker and get it on my nipple. :sm29:

use powdered laundry detergent to wash your entire body.

that will help kill off the oils of the nettle. it might be a little too late to stop it, but it'll help stop it from getting worse.

also get a stick of cheap deodorant, use it while you have the bumps to rub it on (the really dry kind of deodorant) always cut off a little bit of it before applying it again, and throw it away when you are done.

Yeah I washed it off the best I could as soon as it happened. But had to finish my ride.

Even took a shower when I got home, but it still burns like crap. Probably need a stronger soap.

Dawn dish soap... That sh*t kills everything and it drys out the oils on your skin.

One time I was out in the middle of nowhere and had to drop a double brownie. I didn't have anything to clean my A-hole with and there was no way I was gunna' give up a pair of shorts........ again. So I used tall crab grass and made it into big wads.

Bout 10 minutes after doing my deed and going with my bright idea I found out crab grass has some sort of secret weapon against bum wipers. Cause my anus was screaming fire like an arsonist crawled up my sphincter with a jug of gasoline and a torch.

Seriously, don't wipe your bum with grass.

Gotcha topped, except my encounter was with a medium sized dog. I was participating in an organized bike ride a few years back. While riding through some Reservation land, a dog was chasing all the riders. When it was my turn to be chased, I did everything you should - nothing, I maintained speed and course. Then the dog decided he wanted to chase from the other side of the bike and crossed in front of me. :surprised I nailed him at about 20mph with the front tire which sent me over the handlebars. As the bike stopped, my cleats released from the pedals, so the it didn't follow me over. By instinct (I guess it was) I tucked and rolled and landed on the back of my left shoulder which broke my collarbone and the impact also collapsed my left lung, oh and got a few cracked ribs to boot. I spent two nights in the hospital with a chest tube draining my lung.

The bike was fine and I never did know what happened to the dog after that. Funny thing about all that was I didn't know I was injured until I tried to pick up my bike and my arm wasn't working right.

LOL I had an experiance pretty close to that a few years ago. I had just been stationed at Shaw AFB and decided to go for a ride.

Well it was starting to get dark, so I was on my way home when I passed the base pond.

Figured what the hell, I will go around it once just to check it out.

Well on the back side is a gazebo, followed like a bridge. Well by the time I get there its dark, so I can see the bridge, but the floor of the gazebo is hidden under the shadow of the roof.

So I give the bike a few good pumps to get me threw the gazebo, and over the bridge.

Next thing I know I'm sliding across the floor of the gazebo, and my bike is still setting at the opening.

My front tire had hit the raised floor, and stoped, so over the bars I went.

Man I wish someone had it on video, that stunt could have won me some money.

Well it seems we have a few more riders on here than I expected. so what does everyone ride?

Right now I have 3.

An older Trek Mountian bike

My Korea special Lespo mountain Bike. I abuse the crap out of this thing, and it has held up great.

And my new baby.
