Lee will be able to media blast them and get them lookin as nice as possible... black shows the most, but if they're in as good a shape as they seem from the pics they'll turn out nice.
By the way, he currently has 2 ovens there... A small for lil stuff under 18" and one that you could fit a bike frame in... And he's been talking about building one large enough to put an entire car frame in :D

The guns only like $50 or so from Harbor Freight and powder there is cheap also. Works pretty much as good/same as the brand name gun.
its not that easy, especially if you have never coated before.

car godz sent me a link for the pics of the wheels. they are in pretty bad shape, nothing i cant fix. the price will be slightly higher than normal because of the defects that must be corrected before they are coated, and some of the defects will still remain depending of the shape the pits are in. all 4 wheels powder coated in mirror black. $150

I also have some 16x10 wide American Racing that I want powder coated. They're on the F-150 right now. Salt got to the finishes on both sets. Both (were) polished aluminum. More like a cloudy grey now.
$100 per set of 4

Its not a hard process at all if you have the equipment and a little patience.

I never did it before but was going to town on my motorcycle after about 2 minutes of reading instructions.

Sandblast, glass bead blast or walnut shell blast your items clean.

Make sure powder coat gun is clean/clear of previous powder.

Hook electrode onto prat, get powder in gun. Evenly/nicely coat/fog your part. If you mess up, undo the electrode, tap the part- powder falls off, try again.

Then the baking. Thats my favorite part. Its a bit stinky :p

Trouble is most people dont have ovens.

And BTW, for $150 for all4 rims its not worth buying the gun/powder to mess with. At that price, let it be done professionally.

And even though I love Harbor Freight... They have very cheaply made powder guns... I had a buddy that picked one up and returned it the same weekend... spat and sputtered like crazy.
And see I told ya he'd give ya a great price :thumbsup

He just likes pissin off the guys at aesthetic finishers (his competition)... they start at $100 bucks a wheel.
