Thats actually BS, but macfags won't realize that until someone opens pandora's box.Not to mention the fact that you can't get a virus. It's so nice to not have to worry about spyware, running scans and checks, downloading anything without worrying.
Far too much work? Like avoiding shady websites and downloads, and generally not being a retard? okay. Most of my windows issues have been PEBKAC or ID107 related problems. I will admit that windows does plenty of security issues - mainly due to it having 90-95% of the market, thus making it FAR more targeted than Mac.That being said I do know it's possible to run a windows without problems, by taking proper care and measures, but in my opinion, its far too much work, and something you SHOULDN'T have to take care of yourself, when you are paying hundreds upon hundreds of dollars.
You shouldn't be responsible for it? So if you get in a car accident, blame Ford? That being said I do know it's possible to run a windows without problems, by taking proper care and measures, but in my opinion, its far too much work, and something you SHOULDN'T have to take care of yourself, when you are paying hundreds upon hundreds of dollars.
With all that said, i actually want to get a mac just to mess around with. I still like windows XP and Vista (although i do not use Vista as much/for the same things as XP so i really haven't gotten a good look at it yet). Windows Defender is annoying and vista is slow since my laptop is fairly low end.

Apples are good for many things... some ppl just dont like them because they are unwilling to change... but its all about what you need it for. Besides... I know a lot of ppl who run Parallels on their macs so that they can run windows on it, and thats really an added benefit. I know that its going to be my next computer and ill definitely get mine for $1200

I agree windows defender is really annoying, I am waiting for it to ask me "are you really sure you want to turn your computer on" hahaha, anyone who has used Vista knows what I mean. I am slowly getting used to Vista though. Our desktop had it when we bought it or I wouldn't be running it.
Anyway as long as a computer does what you want it too and you like it that is all that matters.

Yeah, I have Windows XP on my Macbook, partitioned for 5gb. I use it for Cubase and a few other programs... But I can't take more than an hour on XP before I just get fed up and have to switch back.CaptainPioneer wrote:Apples are good for many things... some ppl just dont like them because they are unwilling to change... but its all about what you need it for. Darthness....I'm not even going to respond to that. It's people like you talking about "macfags" that are just arrogant and unwilling to change. I used to "hate" Macs and "macfags" as you put it, and then I pulled my head out of my ass and used one for a month or so...I couldn't believe what I was missing.
Microsoft is BS. I live in Seattle and hate it. They have an incompetent monopoly. Hell not even mentioning their computers, how about the Xbox360 I just turned on. The "Red light of death"? Ok, so I just paid $500 for something and you're telling me "Oh...your console just may happen to spontaneously shutoff and not work...and then you'll have to either exchange it for a new one or send it to microsoft."
Are you kidding me?
I am not intending to pick on microsoft...as this theme of shitty quality is apparent all around America today, and with all sorts of products, especially technology. But when such a quality alternative (mac) is available and people refuse to acknowledge it, its frustrating.
