no grudge match im not any emotion at all.
and just for the sake of accuracy

all in all a 147 ain't bad and i see plenty of room for improvement. i could sit here and list probably 50 things for you to change and modify and maybe gain you as much as 3db just as it sits.

its all good though.

IMHO doubling power will never get you +3dB - not even in dreams, not even if you belive in Santa....maybe that works till about 100W....and the same goes for doubling cone area.

Here in EU it is easy (at least for me) to get to 155dB in any street class, but we have Fiat Pandas - panda is cca 2dB ahead of any other car, it peaks at 69-72Hz - much higher than cars used for Drag in US. We use high tunings, very small boxes, let say that gear is the same - DD, Cactus, TREO, GroundZero - plutonium series.

The easyest way to get better result is to change battery for some real strong one - like DD or Cactus with 10000+A - but prices for that batteries are SICK. diff is up to 2-2.5dB

Another trick is to make inside of box as smooth as you can - paint it, polish it!!! diff is 0.3-0.5dB

If you are using multiple amps - always finetune your gains with VoltMeter - diff is cca 0.3 dB

Dampen your car - use hi quality damping materials up to 4mm - Magic Mate, Butiflex, Dynamat and similar shit. - roof, kick panel area, cars bottom

Use the biggest cables avaliable - at least 100-120mm2 and as much cables as you can squeeze in car - I used 4 120 mm2 for positive and 4 x 120mm2 for ground

Use hi output charger for battery

Dont start your car before measurements

When testing do max 3-4 burps at a time, then wait to recharge battery and to cool down voice coils - lower impendance when VC is cold

Cool down cars interior - use Air Condition - colder interior higher result - your frequency may change for 1-2Hz - you should test it

I design my box that way - depth of box was 1/16 wave lenght of burping freq. Depth and height are the same, width only as much to accomodate gear - drivers and port on same side of box

Use bigger port you can - test with elevating port out of box

Test with different chair positions - ussually is better to have them moved to the max front position

Test which windows you should squeeze, roof, doors,...
....
.....

I wrote just a few things you can try out to get better result,....hope it helps

Bye!

hahaha....yea,...Im sure you know that there is still a lot of things that can have big impact on result, but you have slightly different scene in US - different cars, lower transfer function of cars.
There are also at least two different aproaches to calculating boxes - one is the same as mine - lambda - wave lenght theory, other is to make box as small as possible with lots of power, much more shallower than if it is designed like I do (lambda)

BTW Im retired competitor, all this sh..t costs too much money, in EU we have no cash prizes for winners or anything similar, hi performance gear is very expensive (driver from reputative manufacturer costs cca 1000+EUR, Battery is 1400-1600EUR, cables and damping materials costs cca 1500+EUR, each amp costs 1500-2000EUR, etc, - 1 usd = 1.5 eur)...not mentioning all the time for testing - that is why I only help other people to make some decent result...just to stay in touch with this sport. :sm29:
