Really, is that just in class or is that over all? I would have thought that toyota still held that crown. hmmm interesting.

[quote="Jonathan"]Ford is supposed to be coming out with a twin turbo direct injected version of the Duratec 37. I'd really like to see them put something like that in a sports car but it won't happen because of competition with the mustang. The naturally aspirated version in the CX9 makes a good chunk of power for it's size already, matching or beating anything in it's class. But a 3.7L twin turbo direct injected version in a light car would be direct competition with the car that started this topic ]

would be nice if they don't go bankrupt first... gm is atleast trying to come back and making affordable nice cars with much better quaility. unfortunately i dont see that from ford

Yeah I believe Mini was for best resale in it's class.

And Yeah, a big Ouch for Chrysler... Hopefully they're revamp of the line up will help tremendously... It does seem rather stupid to have over half you line up cookie cuttered and rebadged, at least GM does a variety of different things with the same platforms and motors... Chrysler really needs to work its way backwards rather than forwards... Look at what worked for them in the past and stick to it... Yeah the New Challenger is going to be amazing, but really... How many will be able to afford it... They need to look back to when they had a line up of affordable cars with big power packages (for not much more I might add)... Heck even the crappy lil Omni had a big sister in the GLHS... I'm not saying bring back the Omni, I'm just saying affordable with options... Heck with gas prices going the way they are... if they wanted to re-introduce a car... Go with the K car (Aries K for those that may not remember), they'd make a killing with that thing now.

well they are not doing so well either... worlds above Chrysler... But just remember that GM had to go out and buy Delphi so they could stay afloat themselves...

The reason why Chrysler sucks is because of the damn Germans over at Mercedes... they messed everything up for them.

If chrysler wouldn't have butchered the Jeep so bad, they might have done ok with it. No self respecting jeep person will own anything after about 1990. They have to rebuild an entirely new customer base with their new street jeeps. Terrible. :(
