y spend the money on the zr1 if you just want to be as fast as the gtr you can get the z06, and buy American. and dont say its made in china or else where the motors are hand made in the usa in kentucky as is most of the rest of the car.

and p.s. its the same old thing y spend 20 more k on the viper when you can soup up the vette and destroy it. blah blah blah. its all opinion. nothing in america and nothing in the world most likely will touch the zr1 for the cost vs. benefits.

I'm just saying as far as being different... and besides Bill, You know that one of my dream vehicles still has a Corvette badge on it... That one being the almighty 1969 Mako Shark :bow

I know this is a bit off base but what about the Lotus? Not the Exige... although i do like that but they have a super car that is pretty damn impressive... Numbers will dictate though that the ZR1 will be far less expensive... but still nothing handles quite like a lotus... and i would know... I recently got to drive an Elise and you can throw it into corners doing 90+ . Oh what a feeling! lol

Oh yea... +1 for a Dodge Viper though... Personally I just like the look of it... lol

i know it doesnt really make that much of a diffrence but figured i would post it anyway. there is way more to handling than just grip and lateral g's

Wet skid pad results
corvette C6 0.831 G
lotus Elise 0.748 G

Dry skid pad
Corvette C6 0.94g
lotus elise 1.03

Actually for handling ability... I still gotta give that one to an old Porsche'... The 914... For what it was in the day, it had grip that was unheard of, and people still run them today in the SCCA ;)
