Yeah I was thinking the same way too... I just didn't want to be the one to tell him he could do a lot better than Bahn for the moneysolacedagony wrote:Mmhmm. I was thinking that, but I figured he would want to stay with the AudioBarf. :happy055:
Don't take it the wrong way, we don't mean to put down your system, but most people get to caught up in the advertising and bling factor that Audiobahn does and overlook the fact that they're buying car audio for just that "Audio".
If you do decide to take these guys advice, I can assure you you'll be happier in the long run.

Any reason you chose the Fi Q over anything else?cheapaudio wrote:ok here what ive got done today,, stript out every thing amps and speakers. took one of the 12"s and made a quick box for it (to spec) put it in and bridged it on the kicker amp.. sounds twice as good with out all that extra crap and haven the 12 wired up right. sorry guys but im takin the 300 doolars and gettin a Fi Q either a 15 or a 18 dont kno yet still trying to figure out what bp power is and if i should get the 1 ohm or 2 ohm.then at tax time imma get new amp and door speakers.

Whoa hold the phone here...
That box is to spec? What size port is that 2"? How long 3'? That doesnt look right at all man.
Where at in Ohio? Im in the Toledo area. Bills in the Cleveland area and Terry is down Cinci way (kentucky heeeehaw!).
But back at your plans... Let me ask you this and seriously think about it for a bit.
Whats more important to you... Bass as in rattling everything, boom boom boom.
or the highs, with excellent detail?
Most of us started off as bassheads. Eventually almost all transform into more SQ oriented.
I tend to prefer a very strong front stage and just enough bass to keep up with it, maybe just a small tad overpowering. At one point I just want a ton of bass and loud highs (didnt care about SQ, just LOUD).
The FI Q with treat you good no doubt. However a $300ish set of component speakers driven by that Kicker amp will open up a whole other door of car audio for you. Then you can get just enough bass.
