Make your computer "faster" programs...

Here are the programs I'm currently using. I wanted your take on this. Whats the deal with all of these programs? Who makes them? Why are they free?

I'm using the following:

Avast
Speed It Up Extreme
No Trace
Ad-Aware

Are these good programs or are they actually making my computer slower?

i use avg works good. i personally dont like ad-aware dont know bout the others

I only use adaware on occasion. It sometimes finds things that the others don't.

AVG free is definately the best. Get rid of all that other nonsense.

Spybot Search and Destroy and AVG is probably the best combination of free software right now. If you want to buy an antivirus, get Kaspersky. It's wonderful.

i use avira antivir... it is free and does one hell of a job.. that along with common sense and you are set :)

I use Avast now, used AVG free in the past. For some reason AVG was always corrupting when it updated, so I finally got tired of uninstalling/reinstalling and that's why I've been using Avast.

That happened to me once or twice. It hasn't done that in a long time now.

on a similar note... my computer runs really slow... definitely from all the porn... damn girls looking on my computer all the time!
