ever wonder what its like to be blind?

My mom is blind.
She wasnt born blind though, she lost her eye sight about 5 years ago.
Although she's technically legally blind, she can she shadows and such. Like she can see sombebody standing there, but she can't tell who it is... It's much like being in a dark room, you can kinda see, but you kinda cant..

I find that to be true with alot of people who have handicaps. Especially the ones born with them, since they don't know what "normal" is, the don't see themselves as handicapped. One of my co-workers has Cerebral Palsy, the only problem he really has is mobility, but he's one of the smartest guys I have ever known. He really knows his way around almost any engine, and also has the knowledge of an electrical engineer.
