from what i understand Coal emmissions are around the same emission levels right now as Gasoline and Oil refineries due to the filtering that they have undergone... the only reason i know anything about that is because of living in this stupid state.

Why do you think technology for renewable energy sources aren't advancing the way ipods are? The big oil companies don't want it to. They have there hands in it!

Photo Voltaic solar panels produce 208 watts of power depending on the weather. And if you aren't paying cash for these systems (inverters, panels, labor, etc..) , the numbers don't make sense.

The people who are taking the biggest hit each year for energy are the Tier 2, and Tier 3 industrial companies or small businesses. Rate increases on these have been anywhere from 5 to 20% each year the past 20 years.

The solution is my company! haha I am the VP of Marketing.

Really and truly there is some debate about renewable and non-renewable energy sources but i really feel that we are starting to move in the right direction. No matter what there will always be some degree of big business car industries involved in every facet of where the consumers are focusing their money at. Whether or not they will make the shift away from oil consumption and focused on other resources is only a matter of time.

Right now the facts are this... No matter what, Oil companies have their hands in everything. It doesnt matter if you are a democrat or republican, chevy, or ford, Big oil companies dictate what is going to be policy and what is law in every part of the world.

The reason why i brought up this car, is not because i think we should all go out and buy it (Clearly no one here can afford that) but i show this so that we can see how energy can be used more efficiently and to show what advances we are making.

It is easy to point the finger at one person or group, but it is more logical to try to look at the possibilities.

My suggestion: We will always need Oil.. Bar-none, but whether we choose to use it to fuel our vehicles is our choice and the companies know this... Lets close them down a bit and try to reduce our dependance on oil companies.

So dont worry out there guys... FORD, CHEVY, MOPAR, TOYOTA, KIA, HUNDAI and all the other companies will still be around. If all the companies didnt change based on what the public wanted they wouldnt be around.
