This is amusing. I'm sure the SPL guys here will have different opinions to that of the SQ guys.

Yeah, I'm too cheap to spend more than $30 on a set of RCA's. No way I'm gonna spend $7250 on a set, thats ridiculous.

Really... you get to a point, and I don't think you can even tell any difference anymore. It's only what the tests can pick up, not even the ears.

No way, there is a clear difference between my cryogenically treated moon copper from the far side of the moon and standard Monster cables! The sound stage is so wide, it's like it's engulfing my entire HOUSE!!!!!!

Cables aren't like amps or speakers where you need better technology to get better results. You're just running electricity across copper to transmit a signal. There are a couple specific things that can affect the sound, but with the frequency band that we're running across it (20hz-20Khz) and the relatively short runs of it that we use, most characteristics, if not all, are a moot point. The key there is a solid physical termination (RCA jack soldered/clamped on correctly).

If you're interested, I can send you thread on the characteristics that affect cables.

Yeah, definately send it my way. I've been wanting to read up as to why some cables are priced the same as my left testicle.

The only thing i can really think of that weould make a difference is the shielding.. being able to block out EMI and RFI.

theres probably $7249 in profit one that cable.
