i still say the internet may not hurt the economy overall but it is destroying small businesses the world over.

I agree ... online sales (especially ebay) make it difficult for smaller businesses... I have people come in asking all the time if I'll beat or match a price they found online... My reply is always "No."
Don't get me wrong I love the internet... I wouldn't be here without it.
But it gets tiring from an authorized dealers stand point like Terry and myself when we are constantly having to explain "If you wanna save money and have NO Warranty, by all means shop online". And if you want it installed "sure I'll install it, but you get no warranty on labor either as I am not going to be held responsible for any item I didn't sell"
This country... let alone the world... was built on small business, everybody had to start somewhere

So if you have a "good" local shop... support them from time to time... otherwise you'll only be supporting them later in the unemployment line.
