Cargodz is right on the money. Some dealers will try to tell you that upgrading your stereo voids the electrical, installing a cold-air intake voids the engine, etc... However, they're wrong. You're protected by an item called the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (look it up on Wikipedia). Essentially, it...

From what you described, I have to agree with Scarrell. It definitely sounds like you blew the MOSFET's in your output stage. Once you get it repaired, make sure you set the gains properly. :happy055:

Your best bet would be to replace the fans with quieter versions of the same size. That's where the majority of your noise is coming from in a rack-mount server. Especially considering the fans used in the power supplies.

You can use a thin deadener, but I doubt it will make a large difference.

That plastic box is much better than trying to build one out of wood and Rhinoline it. One small gap that the acid can get through and that wood and the carpet beneath will be mush in no time flat. Since that's not a sealed battery, make sure you've got a way to vent the fumes to the outside of the ...

If you can't find MDF, see if any of the yards carry "Truepan". It's got the properties and strength of MDF, but it's approx 25% lighter. It is a little more expensive though but well worth it, especially on larger builds.
