When running wires for component amp, would it be ok to splice into the power cable from subwoofer amp to get power or would CAC recommend running a separate power cable from the battery to the component amp. aww hell....didn't even think of that because I looked at the HU diagram made sure that I spliced the right wire....obvisiously not. Let me check this out, get back with ya.

I'm running a Kenwood 500 HU, kac8452 amp, rca cables. The tuner, sirius plays just fine. But when switching over to CD, first it "reads" the cd then starts playing the track but no sound is coming out from no speakers. Is there a feature on HU that I'm missing to get playback from the CD?...

Installing a HU with both RCA and harness, should I just bypass the harness and go with the RCA straight to the amp?I have both frt/rear RCA on HU, then from there goto the amp to sub/comp speakers?
